Shuvendu Adhikari's convoy was involved in an accident on the way to the Purulia meeting. A pickup van coming from the opposite direction in Onda lost control and hit two vehicles behind the convoy while taking over National Highway 60. A car has been extensively damaged. One security guard was injured. Another car was slightly damaged.
