Release of conjugal piece of Rabindranath Tegore's heritage of songs and poems

15th February, 2021 witnessed the official release of Gautam Dev's music album, "A JIBON PURNO KORO" at Calcutta Port Trust Officers' Club. The album is a conjugal piece of the famous Rabindra Sangeet and poems by Rabindranath Tagore. This album is published by UD SERIES. The songs that make this album a celebration, include 'Aguner Parashamani', 'Akashbhara Surya-Tara', 'Bara Asha Kare', 'Ami Tomar Saath', 'Tumi Keman Ke', 'Amar Bela Ye Yaay', 'Amara Sabai Raja'. The album was officially released by the renowned dancer, Thankamani Kutty.

In the words of Gautam Dev, 'This album is the result of a year and a half of hearty dedication and effort. Many a times Covid made it difficult for us to come to the studio along a stretch of eight months. After the lockdown sublimed, our work resumed in the studio. Soumitra Chatterjee has recited nine Rabindra poems in this album. I myself was hospitalized for a month with Covid. All in all, we have had to overcome many obstacles. I am not an institutional artist, I have no previous experience. In the joy of the mind, I tried to sing some songs for the satisfaction of my mind. That is what this compilation is about '.

Ones present at this very joyous occasion included Poet Subodh Sarkar, film director Arindam Shil, actor Arjun Chakraborty, painter Shubhprasanna, former footballer Shyam Thapa, Ranjan Prasad and UD series captain Raj Kalyan Roy.

While reminiscing about Soumitra Babu, Anindya Majumder said, "This work marks Soumitra Babu's last work," and also explained how he got acquainted with Soumitra Babu. Poet Subodh Sarkar and painter Shubhprasanna recited and praised the song.

Film directors Arindam Sheel and Arjun Chatterjee shared their experiences working with Soumitra Chatterjee. During this turbulent time, Soumitra Babu's poetry recitations and Gautam Babu's songs seemed to unite the two souls. The background music of this album is composed by Sudipta Saha and the sound design is by Rajiv Mukherjee.
