News Desk: Two youths arrested with a large quantity of cannabis. Police of Maldar Bazar Police Station conducted a search operation near Ghorapir on Sunday night, where two suspects were arrested. The house of the arrested, named Mahadev, is in Dinhata of Kochbihar while Sanjay Pramanik lives in Shovanagar village of Ingrejbazar police station.
60 kg Manipuri cannabis was recovered from the suspects. Its estimated market value is about 5 lakh rupees. Initial investigation revealed that the cannabis was being brought from Dinhata. They were sold at Pukuria in Milky Manikchak of Malda district and at various places in North Malda. The detainees will be taken to court today.
