Karnagarh Fort was established by Kshatriya King Lakshman Singha around 1568. Second Wife of Last King Ajit Singha, Queen Siromani was an important figure who stood against the British.
Being one of historical heritage, Karnagarh Fort, was reconstructed by the Government of West Bengal. But now, the Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Samaj pleads to the Government through BDO Salboni to rename the first in The Memory of the First King. Renaming the Padmapukur, a pond in name of the First Queen of the last King, Ajit Singha.
